Exercise can help a lot: Just 15 minutes of brisk walking increases your body’s production of feel-good chemicals, like endorphins. Other stress-busting tips:
Start your day with 15 minutes of belly breathing. This will help relax your mind and muscles and help you power through stress that crops up during the rest of your day, says Woodson Merrell, MD, chair of the department of Integrative Medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center. “The morning is actually when our bodies feel the most stressed, because it’s when we’re transitioning from inactivity to activity and producing the highest levels of cortisol,” he notes. Here’s what to do: Sit tall at the edge of your bed or in a chair. Breathe in for a count of four, pause a moment, then breathe out for a count of six. Think of a peaceful image, like sitting by the sea, or repeat a simple word like calm.
Meet a friend face-to-face. “Being involved with friends or in a community is as powerful as exercise in terms of preventing heart disease and dementia,” says Henry Lodge, MD, coauthor of Younger Next Year for Women. Pencil in some friend time at least three times a week, or every day if possible.
Chew gum. A British study of more than 2,000 workers found that people who regularly chewed gum had significantly less work-related and overall stress and depression than those who didn’t get this oral fix. Chewing gum may stimulate the vagus nerve, which helps your body relax and increases levels of serotonin, a brain chemical that makes us feel calmer and happier.

What Are The Most Common Complaints About the iPhone 4S?
After getting solid reviews hopeful iPhoners have flocked in record numbers to purchase the latest iGadget, but not even Apple's offerings are perfect. The phone has those same iPhone 4S outsides and even better insides, but less than a week after the first phones made it into consumer hands the kinks are starting to come out. Let's take a look at some of the early iPhone 4S issues and how to fix (most) of them.
Subpar Screen Quality
A fresh new phone shouldn't have a jaundiced screen. But proud new iPhone owners have taken to the Apple forums to complain about less-than-bright screens. "Got a new iPhone 4S this morning, and when I put it next to my old iPhone 4 I discovered the screen was much 'nicer' on the old iPhone," writes Snowglider on the forum. "When I say nicer, its kind of got a really yellow tint to the screen on the 4S, whites are where you notice it the most for example the email looks far nicer on the iPhone 4 screen. All other colours look quite washed out," he continues.
Siri Doesn't Always Work
Siri is the most entertaining feature, but it sometimes has trouble connecting. "Siri is not working at all on my Sprint 32GB Black iPhone 4S," writes Gregory 813 on the Apple Support Communities forum. "Keeps saying 'Sorry Something's gone wrong. Can you try that again?' or 'Uh oh, there's a problem. Can you try again?'" Siri has a popularity issue, speculates another forum writer. "I am going to bet that the servers that handle the dictation and Siri backend are overloaded and they are racing to implement failover servers for all of the unexpected traffic," suggests J. Morris. In any case, it looks like the fix is a classic: The old turn-it-off-and-then-on trick. Turning Siri off, resetting network settings, and turning her back on seems to work, discovered Business Insider's Ellis Hamburger.

Sprint Is Slow
The company offers unlimited data, but who cares if it barely works. Gizmodo ran some tests and Sprint posted the slowest average data speed. Angry Sprint user beeay called it "too slow to be useful" on Sprint's discussion boards. There doesn't seem to be an easy fix for this one: Get a new wireless carrier?

The 4 Best Sweeteners to Have in Your Kitchen
Make sure you know the difference between the good guys and bad guys of the sweetener world. Here is a list of the good guys of sweeteners:
Good Guy #1: Stevia
"We need to be off of sugar, but we need good alternatives, and stevia is the safest sweetener there is, period," says Gates, who coauthored The Stevia Cookbook: Cooking with Nature's Calorie-Free Sweetener (Avery Trade, 2004). All types of stevia are extracted from the leaves of the stevia plant, but some forms taste better than others, says Gates. People tend to overuse powders, in which the sweetness is really concentrated, so if you've tried powders in the past and didn't like them, try liquid forms, explains Gates, who helped develop a liquid stevia sweetener product. Stevia contains zero calories, but its one downfall is that it doesn't work well for baking. Expect to see more stevia on store shelves, as Coke and Pepsi got the green light to use Truvia (a sweetener made in part from stevia) starting later this year.
Good Guy #2: Sugar alcohols
Popular sugar alcohol sweeteners include xylitol, sorbitol, and erythritol, natural sweeteners made through a fermentation process of corn or sugar cane. They contain fewer calories than sweeteners like pure sugar and honey, but more than stevia. They also leave a cooling sensation in the mouth, and have been found to prevent cavities, explains Dr. Gerbstadt. Just don't overdo it—too much can cause GI distress.
Good Guy #3: Organic, raw local honey
While honey does boast higher fructose levels, it also contains a bounty of cancer-defending antioxidants, and local honey has been said to help alleviate allergy symptoms. Don't limit raw honey's use to your tea, either. Use it to speed healing on burns, and as a natural antiseptic on cuts and scrapes. Honey also has a low glycemic index, so adding it to your tea or yogurt won't lead to energy-busting blood sugar drops later in the day.
Good Guy #4: Blackstrap molasses
Although heavy on the calorie content, blackstrap is rich in iron, potassium, and calcium, making it a healthier choice than nutritionally defunct artificial sweeteners or even regular refined sugar, despite the fact that blackstrap and refined sugar both come from sugar cane. (Dr. Gerbstadt says calorie-containing sweeteners are not recommended for people with diabetes.) We like the organic, Fair Trade Certified version of blackstrap molasses from Wholesome Sweeteners.

Sony Shows Wearable 3-D Personal Theater
Sony is launching a head mounted display that provides a three dimensional theater of music videos, movies and games.
Sony Corp. showed the 60,000 yen ($800) "HMZ personal 3-D viewer" Wednesday. The machine is set to go on sale Nov. 11 in Japan, and is planned for the U.S. and Europe, perhaps in time for Christmas, although dates have not yet been set.
Resembling a futuristic visor, HMZ, which stands for "head mounted display," is worn like chunky goggles-and-earphones in one. The footage before the viewer — a music video of a Japanese singer in the demonstration for reporters in Tokyo — is crystal-clear and feels like peering into a dolls house in which a real-life tiny singer is moving.

Apple recently announced iOS 5 which is packed with new cool features, including Android’s drop-down menu style notification. iOS 5 will be released in the autumn, more specifically in September. Furthermore, Apple brings new generation iPods and iPod Touches in September. However, according to CNET UK, iPods are not enough glamorous to bring iOS 5 into the world. iOS 5 and iPhone 5 both will be the perfect platforms for each other.
That is the reason why we are expecting to see iPhone 5 release with iOS 5, in the autumn. We already assumed that Apple doesn’t want to release iPhone 5 until iOS 5 is completely ready. Following are some great features that make huge crowd out there yelled to have iPhone 5:
iPhone 5 Features at a Glance:
Storage Capacity: Apple is offering 16 GB and 32GB iPhone since 2009, so apple is aware this it would be hard push iPhone 5 without having 64 GB of storage. iPhone 5’s lowest model will come with 32G of space and 64G of memory.
Signal Strength: Unlike iPhone 4, iPhone 5 is not having signal issue, as they are offering the strongest signal strength of any iPhone model ever even the best of any Smartphone to ever come to market.
Face Recognition: The new iPhone 5 will have Face Recognition for Security sake so that you don’t have to worry about other people stealing your phone and trying to use it.

Longer Battery Life: iPhone 5 will have Up to 14 Hours of Talk Time On The 3G and 7 Hours on the 4G.
Video Chat: Video Chat on a 4G network instead of a slow 3G one

Apple to Launch iPhone 5
Apple is planning to release an iPhone 5 as early as September. The model is likely to include a faster computer chip and a more advanced camera.
The company is also reported to be testing a version of the iPad with a higher resolution screen. The release of the iPhone 5 in just a few months could add millions more sales to the technology firm’s range of smartphones. The iPhone is Apple’s top seller.
When the iPhone 4 was launched in June last year, stocks ran out within hours and demand crashed the Apple website. Technology experts are also adding a cheaper version of the iPhone range which will be aimed at boosting its market share in developing countries.
The new phone could be called the iPhone 4G or 4S, with many similarities to the £500 iPhone 4. An 8-megapixel camera would be an update on the 5-megapixel camera currently used in the iPhone 4.
But the speedier processor will allow programs to load quicker and the phone will be able to better compete against the BlackBerry and Samsung handsets that use Google’s Android software.

Tips to Raise Your Credit Score
Here are five ways you can use that bit of knowledge, along with some other expert know-how, to boost your credit rating:
1. Pay Bills Before the Statement Date
Typically, the balance as of your last statement date is the balance that will report to the bureaus, says Barry Paperno, consumer operations manager with myFICO.com, the consumer division of FICO, the company that created the FICO score. So if you pay most of the bill before the statement date, you can lower your utilization rate. And that can equal a higher credit score.
2. Make Multiple Payments
Another way to lower the balance on your statement date is to make periodic payments throughout the month.
If you use your card throughout the week for everyday expenses and pay it off every Friday, you'll cut the amount of credit you're using at any one time. Check with your card issuer to learn how they handle multiple monthly payments.
3. Ask for a 'Good-Will Deletion'
If you only have one or two bad marks on your credit record, you may be able to get them expunged, says John Ulzheimer, president of consumer education for SmartCredit.com, based in Costa Mesa, Calif.
Say you've paid late, but have an otherwise spotless credit history. You can ask your lender for a "good-will deletion," he says. "It doesn't mean it is wrong or was reported incorrectly. Essentially, what you're doing is asking the creditor to cut you some slack."
4. Pay for Removal
If you have an account that's gone into collection, sometimes collectors will agree to remove the debt from your credit report if you agree to pay if off.
5. Protect Yourself in a Short Sale
After a short sale, the mortgage lender often will report to credit bureaus that the home loan was settled for less than the full amount. In addition, it can also note the amount of the deficit as "balance owed" on the credit report, even though the obligation has been finalized and no additional money is owed.

Easy Steps for Your Best Body
Here is 5 steps of effective, efficient regimens that can be done by busy people with little time or space, for getting your best possible body.
1. Eat five meals a day. "You're never hungry. You're eating because it's time to eat, not because you have to eat. So you have more control over what you eat and how much you eat. From a metabolism perspective it's like a windmill. Small gusts of wind throughout the day keep the windmill constantly spinning. It's a more effective machine."
2. "Every meal takes five minutes of prep time. We looked at all the reasons people don't take their motivation into action. You don't need to be a gourmet chef. My recipes take five minutes to make. They're five ingredients or less and you dont have to starve yourself."
3. Every meal must contain five key ingredients. "Protein, fiber, healthy carbs, a healthy fat and a sugar-free beverage. For snacks we have three new flavors of 5 Factor snack bars now.
4. Enjoy one free day each week guilt free. "Enough said."
5. Exercise five times a week for 25 minutes. "Short, intense workouts get results. You dont need the 'kitchen sink' approach where you spend all day at the gym, do tons of different exercises, and use all kinds of weird supplements. Try a simple, doable program that keeps changing and can be done anywhere.

Sunscreens to avoid
Here is a few tips to select sunscreens product: adequately protect skin from both UVA (which causes premature aging, skin cancer, and other skin damage) and UVB (which causes sunburn) rays. It must also be safe, meaning free of potentially harmful chemicals, more details reveal under:
SPF values above 50-plus. Higher SPF products are not necessarily best. In fact, the Food and Drug Administration says these numbers can be misleading. There's a concern that high SPF products may give people a false sense of security and encourage people to stay out in the sun for too long without reapplying sunscreen. It's also important to note that the SPF is based solely on UVB protection.
Sunscreen sprays. They can fill the air with tiny particles that may not be safe to breathe in, according to EWG.
Contains oxybenzone and vitamin A. Oxybenzone is a concern because it penetrates the skin, is associated with allergic reactions, and is a potential hormone disruptor. Retinyl palmitate is a form of vitamin A that may not be safe when exposed to sunlight. EWG recommends choosing products with one of these ingredients instead: zinc, titanium dioxide, avobenzone, or Mexoryl SX.
Unfortunately, some of the safest and most effective sunscreens on store shelves can be expensive so it's worthwhile to shop around for deals.

Exercises That Make You Look Taller
Here's something about the way dancers carry themselves that makes them look a little bit taller, even if they're on the shorter side of the spectrum! Here are 3 exercises from Halzack that might make you look like you've grown an inch or two:
1. Downward Dog
Downward Dog is a great yoga exercise that both strengthens and lengthens. To achieve the position correctly, straighten the legs to your personal limit, send your tailbone to the ceiling and pull the lats down (via the shoulder blades). Do a deep inhale, then exhale. Repeat the breath 8 times and relax. Resume the posture at least 2 more times without letting your head drop or your back arch. Keep your head on your spine, making your spine one long line.
2. Getting Your Back on Track
This one is more of a stretch. Interlace your fingers behind your neck and slowly roll down as if you're pulling your head down to your toes, taking it as far as you can go. Hang there for 4-5 breaths. Take your middle finger and pointer on each hand and wrap them around your big toe to pull yourself closer to your toes -- this is a great hamstring stretch. Once you get to the bottom of that stretch, pull your back toward the ceiling as you pull your head to the floor. This is an amazing stretch in the sacrum and lower spine. Use your abs to push the lower spine toward the ceiling, and repeat up to 3 times.
3. No Time Spine Align
Take a 2.5 lb weight or a very heavy book and balance it on the crown of your head. Think of the weight pushing down into the top of your skull. Keep the energy in your neck going up, letting the neck get as long as possible -- hold it for about a minute. You feel like you get a little taller standing there in this meditative state. Let your shoulders drop and concentrate on your breath. Hold for at least minute. You'll be left with a sense of height and length in the neck and spine.

Losing Weight is Also Good for Brain
Losing weight is not only good for the waistline, it is good for the brain. Scientists say substantial weight loss improves cognitive functions like memory and concentration.
Researchers carried out tests on 150 volunteers, all weighing over 21 stone, and compared them with results from healthy people. In some tests, including memory exams, almost a quarter of the overweight participants scored low enough to be considered learning disabled.
Many of them had additional health problems, such as high blood pressure, type two diabetes and sleep apnea. After the initial round of testing, two-thirds of the volunteers had gastric bypass surgery to reduce the size of the stomach and lost an average of about 3st 8lbs.
After 12 weeks, they all took the tests again and the group that lost weight boosted their scores, particularly those involving memory, significantly. They also showed great improvement in organisational skills.
The 41 obese volunteers who declined the surgery ended up with even worse results. Professor John Gunstad, of Kent State University, Ohio, said the research showed obesity can damage the brain, ‘especially the parts most important for paying attention and learning new things’.

Jennifer Aniston's Skinny Secrets
Hard to believe it's been more than a decade and a half since a 25-year-old Jennifer Aniston began her rise to superstardom, playing rich-girl-turned-waitress Rachel Green on NBC's super successful sitcom "Friends." So how does the now 42-year-old manage to look better now than she did then?
According to her nutritionist Carrie Wiatt, prior to landing her stint on "Friends," Jen's agent insisted she would get more roles if she lost weight, so Wiatt created a portion-controlled, nutrient-dense meal delivery service for the actress, who, indeed, got her breakout role soon after.
"For Jennifer, the key was high protein and low carbs, with plenty of vegetables and fruit and no processed foods," Wiatt tells Life & Style. "It's an understatement to say Jen has maintained her weight beautifully."
Over the years, media reports have had Aniston on a variety of kooky diets, from eating only cucumbers to a baby-food plan, a rumor she has vehemently denied. "I've been asked lately, 'Jen, what's this baby food diet all about?' I kept thinking: That's the strangest question ever," Aniston said last year. "Sorry, but the last time I had baby food, I believe I was 1. I've been on solids for about 40 years now."
The actress has also admitted that she doesn't starve herself, and when she feels like indulging, as she once told ABC News, "I pretty much go to grease, fried foods. Salt."
As for exercise, the svelte star credits yoga for keeping her body toned and slender. "My legs got leaner," she said in the UK edition of Harper's Bazaar. "My arms got strong."

BMW New Grand-Touring Coupe
We’ve already seen the Convertible version, and now BMW has released pictures and details of its new 6-Series Coupe. The hard-topped Six is again a two-plus-two GT car aimed at rivals such as the Jaguar XK and higher-end versions of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe. It’s 75mm longer, 39mm wider and 5mm lower than its predecessor.
BMW’s newest, 5-Series-based Coupe will arrive in local showrooms later this year offering the same engines initially as the Convertible. The 650i is fitted with the 4.4-litre turbocharged V8 with 300kW and 600Nm, sprinting from 0-100km/h in 4.9 seconds and using 10.4 litres of petrol per 100km on average.
There’s 235kW and 450Nm produced by the 640i’s 3.0-litre turbocharged six-cylinder, resulting in a 0-100km/h time of 5.4 seconds. Stop-start technology helps to reduce fuel consumption to an official 7.7L/100km.
Both engines are teamed with an eight-speed automatic. A 640d twin-turbo diesel model is anticipated further down the line and the M6 flagship model will materialise in 2012 – powered by a twin-turbo V8 that should be good for about 410kW.
The new 6-Series Coupe features LED headlamps and tail-lights, with options – including variable suspension – in line with those offered on the Convertible. The outgoing V8-powered 6-Series coupe starts at $227,300.

Research: A Minute away from Your Desk 'Can Reduce Risk of Heart Attack'
Those who take short breaks away from their seats – lasting as little as a minute – at regular intervals throughout the day are less likely to be overweight and have high blood pressure. They also substantially reduce the risk of potentially fatal cardiovascular diseases.
Researchers found that people who are on their feet for short periods which add up to more than two hours a day tend to have smaller waists and lower blood pressure. They studied the habits of 4,757 adults over the course of a week.
Each participant wore an accelerometer, a small device fitted to the hip to measure how much time they spend walking and running. Their waist size, blood pressure and the level of C-reactive protein in their blood, which is often high in people at risk of heart disease, were also measured.
The researchers, from the University of Queensland in Australia, whose study is published in the European Heart Journal, found that those who took the most breaks had waists up to 4cm smaller than those who were more sedentary.

Coming Soon: Touchable 3D TV technology
A Japanese research team said it had developed the world's first 3D television system that allows users to touch, pinch or poke images floating in front of them.
"It is the first time that you can feel images in the air," said Norio Nakamura, senior scientist with the research team at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology.
"You can have the sense of touch like poking a rubber ball or stretching a sticky rice cake" when manipulating images, he told AFP by telephone.
The technology changes the shape of three-dimensional images in response to "touches", aided by cameras that monitor how the fingers move, Nakamura said.
It is not known when the technology will be put to practical use but its creators see it being used to simulate surgical operations and in video game software allowing players to experience the sensation of holding weapons or sports equipment.

Justin Gaston Gets Naked for PETA
Justin Gaston has stripped naked for a cause. The former boyfriend of Miley Cyrus appeared on a number of print ads for PETA's "Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur" campaign wearing nothing but a silver cross around his neck and showing off a tattoo on his hip. He is joined by Giglianne Braga and Ben Elliott, two of his fellow cast members on "If I Can Dream".
"With this PETA campaign, what I really wanted was it not to be about me but to be about the animals," 21-year-old Justin explained his mission. The former underwear model who has also participated in the sixth season of NBC's singing competition "Nashville Star" added, "We're trying to bring light to this cause."
While Justin pointed out that he didn't bare all for himself, aspiring model Giglianne said she doesn't mind stripping down for a good cause. "If nudity is involved, especially because it's for a cause, I didn't see anything wrong with that," the 20-year-old opined. She added, "We're just supporting a good cause by being naked."
The ads featuring Justin, Giglianne and Ben are the latest being made in support of PETA's anti-fur efforts.

Live Well on Less Income
We are all facing a hard economics condition, so here are some suggestions of how to live well without spending a fortune.
Reduce Your Meat Portion
You don't have to give up meat entirely to save money on your food bills. Simply cutting back on portion sizes or limiting the number of times a week or day you eat meat will benefit your wallet and your health.
Cut back on or cancel cable TV service
Watch TV shows for free on Hulu or rent movies on the cheap. While you're at it, consider getting rid of your home phone if you don't use it much. Use your cell phone or Skype for keeping in touch.
Avoid the airport
Skip an expensive plane ride and take a road trip instead. If you have to travel to a far-flung location, try to Sign up for a Twitter account so you can take advantage of exclusive deals.
Buy only what you can afford
When you do need something, consider buying used, shopping at thrift stores, going to swap parties, renting, or seeing if you can get it for free.
Alternative transportation
Save money on gas by walking, biking, and taking public transportation when you can.

Scientists identify new longevity genes
Scientists from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, United States, have finished a study to identify the relation between genes that can help people live a longer life of 100 years. This discovery can be a new breakthrough and will be a big leap to anti aging medicine.
The researchers examined an Ashkenazi Jewish community in the United States who averaged 97 years of age. The results show same connection that existed in those who lived for more 100 years of age and their descendants; it was on the level of the telomerase enzyme, one type of enzyme that can prevent cells aging.
As reported by the Telegraph, scientists found 86 parents and their children have higher levels of telomerase that functions to protect DNA.
Telomerase is a special section of DNA that sits at the end of the chromosome, like a plastic sheath at the end of shoelaces to prevent loose fibers woven rope. Every time a cell divides, the telomerase will shorten and become more vulnerable to death.
People aged over 90 years and their offspring have higher telomerase and make them significantly more longevity than people who are not related in the control. This study has been published in the journal 'Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences'.
