Samsung Instinct Is a Record-Selling Handset
Samsung Instinct, released in the US only a week ago by Sprint, the third largest American mobile carrier, proves to be a smash-hit in terms of sales. More exactly, Sprint says that the new touchscreen device “has become the fastest-selling EVDO handset” in the carrier’s history, although it doesn’t mention an exact number of sales.
According to Sprint, there is such a high demand for the Instinct that, in some retail locations, the stocks were quickly depleted and now Samsung tries to keep up with manufacturing more handsets in order to ship them in the States. …read full article…
PlayStation 3 Is Getting Movie Rental Service
Kaz Hirai, the guy who leads the videogame division of Sony, stated on Thursday that the movie renting service is going to be first available in North America, where the movie renting market is bigger, while Europe and Japan are set to also get the service at a later date. The concrete details regarding the actual way the movie renting will be done will only be available sometime next month, probably at the E3 presentation that Sony will hold. Adobe releases security updates for Acrobat Reader
Adobe has issued a security update to patch a code execution vulnerability affecting its Adobe Acrobat and free Adobe Reader applications. According to Adobe’s advisory, the vulnerability, if exploited, could crash applications or allow an attacker to take control of the affected system by way of malformed JavaScript code.
